Donate by bank transfer
Donations go directly into the Rotary Club of Rossendale charity account by bank transfer. There is no GoFundMe page and no card payment on this website. Use the reference Tess RTHW so your donation is credited to Tessa's challenge.

Charity account details
Donations go straight into the Rotary Club of Rossendale charity account. Nothing passes through this website.
- Account name
- Rotary Club of Rossendale
- Sort code
- 20-55-41
- Account number
- 10577030
- Reference
- Tess RTHW
The reference matters. Please put Tess RTHW in the reference field. It is how the Rotary treasurer knows your donation belongs to Tessa's challenge rather than to any other Rotary appeal.
How to make the transfer, step by step
- Open your banking app and choose to pay a new person or business.
- Enter the account name Rotary Club of Rossendale.
- Enter the sort code 20-55-41 and account number 10577030.
- Type Tess RTHW into the reference or payment description field.
- Enter your amount and send it.
Your bank may warn you that the account name does not exactly match. This is normal for charity and club accounts, where the registered name and the display name can differ slightly. Check the sort code and account number carefully against this page, and only proceed if they match exactly.
Other ways to give
Cash on the day
There will be collection buckets at Marl Pits on the morning of Sunday 6 September. Cash given to a bucket collector goes to the same place as a bank transfer.
Gift Aid
Gift Aid adds 25p to every pound you give at no cost to you, but it needs a signed declaration, which a bank transfer on its own cannot capture. If you are a UK taxpayer and would like your donation Gift Aided, send us a message and we will send you the declaration form.
Business sponsorship
If your business would like to sponsor a lap, contribute kit or supplies for the overnight support crew, or match what the public raises, we would very much like to hear from you. Get in touch.
Give your time instead
Not everyone can give money, and that is completely fine. Sharing this page, walking the Round the Hills Walk, or standing at Marl Pits on the Sunday morning to make some noise all count.
Is this legitimate?
Yes, and you should always ask. The account belongs to the Rotary Club of Rossendale, a long established local Rotary club that has organised the Round the Hills Walk since 1966. The money raised goes to Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, registered charity number 508209, which you can look up on the Charity Commission register .
Nobody from this challenge will ever phone you, email you or message you asking for card details, bank login details or a one time passcode. If somebody does, it is not us.
